Azamara® Journey and Quest recognized as “Top 3 Best Small Cruise Ships”

MIAMI, Feb. 23, 2015 – Azamara, the boutique cruise line known for its premier destination-immersive voyages for discerning travelers, is excited to announce that it was recognized by Cruise Critic US and UK in their annual 2015 Cruise Critic Cruisers' Choice Awards. Overall, Azamara was ranked 40 times among the top 10 U.S. and U.K. cruise ships in 19 categories – and 34 awards in the top three positions.

Both Azamara Journey and Quest received nods for being in the top 3 of the best small cruise ships overall, chosen by cruisers on both sides of the Atlantic.

In the US, Azamara Quest won for Best Dining in the small ship category with great onboard offerings including two specialty restaurants, Prime C and Aqualina, that received menu updates this past year. Additionally, Azamara Quest won for Best Fitness facility in the US and UK. The Azamara Quest facility not only has every cardio or weight machine a guest would ever need but also an aerobics area that includes spinning bikes, conditioning balls and yoga mats. The ship also offers a portfolio of onboard fitness classes including yoga, Pilates, core strengthening, body conditioning and spinning, all free of charge. Additionally in both the US and UK, Azamara Quest won for Best Mediterranean not only in the small ship category but also amongst all mid-size and large size ships.

In the UK, Azamara Journey won for Best Entertainment as the ship offers everything from live performances of full-stage musicals, classical soloists to poolside parties featuring live DJs and dancing. Azamara Quest was also named the Best Public Rooms offering beautiful lounges, bars and dining spaces all around the ship.

The annual Cruise Critic Cruisers' Choice Awards are based on member reviews submitted by cruisers for cruises taken during 2014 and are given in three ship classes, according to passenger capacity - small (1,199 passengers or fewer), mid-sized (1,200 to 1,999) and large (2,000+). The top ships in each class are named in the following categories: Overall, Cabins, Dining, Embarkation, Entertainment, Fitness, Public Rooms, Service, Shore Excursions and Value-for-Money. Awards are also given to the top-ranked ships in popular cruise destinations; Alaska, Bahamas, Caribbean and the Mediterranean.

Seven Things to do in Croatia

Croatia has seen a sort of transformation recently, one that has taken it from a hidden gem of coastal delights to one of the hottest travel destinations in Europe. What makes this small Balkan nation so appealing? It could be the brilliant sapphire waters of the Adriatic and spectacular white beaches. Or maybe it’s the medieval architecture and walled towns steeped in history begging to be uncovered. Or perhaps it’s the friendly, welcoming people and unique folk culture.
