This program has been designed to complement your Baltic cruise, as you journey between Moscow and Ekaterinburg. Historically, Moscow, has been one of the world’s most influential cities with its founding sites—the Kremlin and the Red Square—still at its heart. Explore the culture, history and traditions that are woven into Moscow’s fabric before travelling by train for a different Russian perspective in Ekaterinburg, the last city of the Tsars that lies east of the Ural Mountains. Named after Catherine the Great, it’s the city where the Romanovs were executed and home of the Cathedral of Blood.

Highlights

Moscow Landmarks: Visit the Red Square, Bolshoi Theatre, Saint Basil’s Cathedral and Victory Park.

The Kremlin: Visit Moscow’s famed fortress, once home to Romanov tsars and Soviet leaders. Tour the Armory Museum to explore a spectacular collection of weaponry, jewels and relics.

Sergiev Posad: Explore this ancient city and UNESCO World Heritage Site just northeast of Moscow, famed for its 14th-century monastery.

Arbat Street: Enjoy a narrated stroll down one of the oldest streets in Moscow and home to local jewelers, book stores, galleries and boutiques.

Foodie Experiences: Enjoy a traditional Russian dinner at the famed Café Pushkin. Visit the Vodka Museum for a tour and tasting.

Ekaterinburg: Explore the capital of the Ural region of Russia. Stand at the very border between Europe and Asia, marked by a great Obelisk.
