Azamara, in the person of Captain Magnus Davidson and the crew of the Quest, went above and beyond the call of duty in making it possible for us all to get home safely in the middle of the Corona Virus pandemic. The crew kept us fed, entertained, sanitized, and calm. Special recognition to Captain Magnus for his calm demeanor and practical solution to the timing of getting us into Muscat. We all realized he was making good time to Oman and only when we got home did we realize the advantage of 11 days at sea and an early return before all the sanctions took effect. Cruise Director Stephen was truly wonderful, keeping a cheerful but serious tone in all his announcements. The visibility of these two men and their good nature under stressful circumstances kept us all reassured that we were going to find a way home.
We are telling all our friends that we have rebooked a trip on Azamara, and you can count on high customer loyalty from us. Well done.

I loved the smaller size of the ship, the relaxed atmosphere, the incredibly delicious food, the inclusion of wine/beer/artisan coffees in the base fare, the wonderfully friendly & helpful crew, the freedom to dine when/where it suited us, the free yoga & pilates classes, as well as the long stays in the ports. I also appreciated NOT being continuously urged to purchase more expensive drinks & add-on fee dining, and that the crew were always willing to take photos with our own cameras for us. We were not hounded by the official photographers - thus appreciating the occasional photo we did have taken officially.

This was our 2nd Azamara cruise, and it certainly won’t be our last. The service, as always, was amazing. We really love the focus on ports of call – that is what is most important to us.

Firstly, the ship has many very good and practical design features which makes for comfortable cruising. Never seemed over crowded and plenty of areas to sit and relax. The food was excellent as was the attentive crew with nothing seeming too much trouble for them. Of course this is somewhat expected on a first class cruise ship but it still has to be delivered.

The entertainment team were very good and well led by Cruise Director Ernest and along with Hotel manager Philip. they created a happy family where everyone "mucked in" at social events.

The last 2 nights in Capetown with the concert and final night party etc were most memorable.
