"We did back-to-back cruises in September 2022. The first cruise started in Amsterdam and ended in Bordeaux. The second cruise went from Bordeaux to Barcelona.

As a child I had lived in England and Greece from 1963 to 1967 while my father was in the U.S. Air Force. While living in England I developed a friendship with a girl who lived in the same small village that we lived in. Her name was Mary. We had managed to keep in touch over the years. 

Many years later, Mary and her family moved to Brittany in France. When I saw the itinerary for the September cruise was going to locations near where Mary lived, we made arrangements to meet in Saint-Malo, France.

It was the perfect meeting place with a beautiful setting and interesting natural and historic features such as a spectacular tidal range that averages 12 meters and it’s beautiful city walls.

We all had such a wonderful day touring the city and having a wonderful Al fresco lunch with beautiful views. Thanks to Azamara we had a wonderful reunion, it could not have been better."

"We have taken more than ten fabulous Azamara cruises but our cruise in September of 2024 was my very favorite.  In February of that year I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  I am very very lucky that it was caught super early but still had to go to chemotherapy and radiation.  After 7 months on a travel pause I was SO EXCITED to book my first cruise after my treatment ended. Of course it was on Azamara!  We booked a 7 day France Intensive cruise that was leaving in only a few weeks.  Every day truly was such a gift and a wonder!  

I especially loved the port of Saint-Tropez as it was so relaxed and beautiful.. exactly how I felt being away for the first time since I had been diagnosed.  

VERY happy to report it's been 2 years and I'm doing great! Totally healthy and my hair is back and now down to my shoulders. Yay!!

"My husband and I were on the Africa Grand Voyage Nov 22, 2025 - Jan 20, 2026.  We hated to be away from family during the holidays but it was a wonderful opportunity to visit Africa specifically Cape Town.  We were invited to Christmas dinner with the Hotel Director and the Captain.  We were so blessed for this opportunity.   We had sailed on the Journey for over four months that year.  The Journey felt like home and the crew and management were our family.   There are many things in life that are special but having the honor to have Christmas Dinner with the Hotel Director and Captain was one thing we will never forget about our CapeTown Christmas Cruise.
