OverviewHide
Journey to the Sunday's River valley for a guided safari through the famed Addo Elephant Park. Home to over 450 elephants, as well as lions, hyenas, kudus, cheetahs and wild dogs, this sanctuary spans more than 125,000 acres. Head out with a small group of no more than 20 guests on a quest to encounter Addo Elephants. Cousin to the African Elephant, the reddish Addo was nearly wiped out in the 1920s by trophy hunter, Major P.J. Pretorius. Learn about the herd's brush with extinction and other facts from local guides. Plus, meet a World Wildlife Fund expert who'll talk about recent conservation milestones, including rhino relocation and South Africa's first national park in 25 years. This is a day sure to leave you with an even deeper appreciation for wildlife and our responsibility to protect it. Azamara is proud to announce that $30 from the sale of this tour goes to support WWF conservation efforts in South Africa.
