Amble through Cadiz on foot on this fascinating walk to the city's historic squares, landmarks, and cathedral. Your stroll begins at the Plaza de España, one of the city's most monumental symbols. Then, walk to Plaza de la Mina, the old vegetable patch of the San Francisco Convent, designed by Torcuato Benjumeda. Pass the Cadiz Museum, and make your way to the Cathedral. Step inside this monumental Baroque and Neoclassical building. Construction began on the cathedral in 1722 and ended in 1838. Marvel at this architectural wonder, 116 years in the making. Then, step foot in San Juan de Dios Square and have your camera ready for its beautiful marble fountain. Continue on past Town Hall. Stroll through the city's charming narrow cobblestone streets. Afterwards, enjoy a relaxing coffee break at a local bar where you can rub shoulders with the locals.
