Step into an era when Hong Kong was a small fishing village. Lamma Island is one of the few neighborhoods in Hong Kong where the people still uphold ancient fishing traditions. Stroll the main street and see Hung Shing Yeh Beach. Enjoy a peaceful hike along the Family Trail and admire Lantau Island, Cheung Chau, and take photos from the Lookout Pavilion. Continue to the Lo So Shing Village to view the traditional fishing rafts. See Kamikaze Cave and learn how, during WWII, it was occupied by Japanese forces. Then, visit the Tin Hau Temple, dedicated to the goddess of the sea. The temple is landlocked due to land reclamation, but it was once by the sea. At Sok Kwu Wan Village, visit a local restaurant where you'll enjoy a delicious lunch featuring fried clams, prawns, deep fried squid, fried Boston lobster's claw, sweet and sour pork, and seasonal vegetables.
