FALL IN LOVE WITH PAROS, A STUNNING MUST-VISIT DURING YOUR MEDITERRANEAN VOYAGE.
The word picturesque must have been invented for this beguiling island, with its windmills, domed churches, and houses in traditional Cycladic style: gleaming white in the bright sunshine, embellished with blue trim, and bedecked with brilliant hues of bougainvillea and hibiscus. Paros was known in ancient times for the fine white marble shipped to other parts of Greece for use by classical sculptors, and for local construction as well. On a rock by the sea are the remains of a medieval castle, built almost entirely of the marble remains of an ancient temple. Other remnants can be found scattered around the island.Download An Explorer Guide +
