Travel to the seaside resort of Rapallo to meet Guido, a gentleman with a captivating passion for food, wine and life. After a lively hello, join Guido on a stroll through Rapallo's market to learn about the produce and herbs that flavor Ligurian recipes. Enjoy a few treats before continuing to a nearby pasta factory where a local chef hand rolls "pansoto". Watch him craft this delicate herb-stuffed pasta, and, of course, enjoy a tasting. Next, it's off to sample Ligurian street food, compliments of Guido's favorite focaccia baker. Enjoy a tasting fresh off the iron paired with a local Vermentino wine. Your final stop is Guido's own bottega, an emporium of delicacies where you'll learn first-hand how to pound out fresh Pesto all Genovese. Wrap things up with a slice of traditional cake and a glass of sweet Moscato from nearby Portofino. Here's to new friends, new recipes, and lifelong memories.
