7:15 AM · Start Along the Garonne
Begin along the Garonne River, where Bordeaux’s historic architecture stretches along the waterfront.
Make your way toward Place de la Bourse, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks, with the Miroir d’Eau just across from it. From here, continue along the waterfront as the city begins to wake up.
Stop at a nearby café for a coffee and a canelé, Bordeaux’s signature pastry, before heading deeper into the historic center.
9:00 AM · Walk Through Historic Bordeaux
Head into Bordeaux’s historic center and spend the morning exploring some of the landmarks that have shaped the city over centuries.
Start in the Saint-Pierre district, where pedestrian streets and lively squares sit at the heart of historic Bordeaux. Continue to Porte Cailhau, the medieval gateway that once formed part of the city’s walls, before making your way toward the Grosse Cloche, one of Bordeaux’s oldest and most recognizable monuments.
From there, continue toward the Gothic Saint-André Cathedral and the neighboring Pey-Berland Tower. For a different perspective on the city, climb the tower for views across Bordeaux’s rooftops and historic center.

Depending on the scheduled program, spend the evening enjoying an opera, ballet, concert, or other performance inside one of Bordeaux’s most celebrated cultural venues.
Even if you’re not attending a show, the illuminated Grand-Theatre and surrounding Place de la Comédie are worth seeing as Bordeaux comes to life at night.
10:00 PM · See Bordeaux After Dark
End the day back along the Garonne.
Walk toward Place de la Bourse and see the waterfront illuminated after dark. The same part of Bordeaux you explored first thing in the morning takes on a completely different feel at night.
Take one last walk along the river before returning to the ship.
