Voyage to a land of legends, wars & myths
While we dock at Kepez—a small seaside town located about two miles away from the larger town of Canakkale—some spectacular day trips on the menu around here.
Join us on an immersive shore excursion to the ancient city of Troy. Once the stuff of mythology, archaeological excavations have brought life to Homer’s Iliad and the tale of Helen, who was won by the legendary Trojan horse.
The Gallipoli Peninsula is the site of the ill-fated WWI Allied campaign resulting in the deaths of over 130,000 soldiers. A battle particularly poignant for Turkey, Australia, and New Zealand, Gallipoli is home to dozens of memorials, cemeteries, and museums, in a beautiful, emotional setting.
A little further afield is Assos. Once home to Aristotle, visited by Saint Paul, and invaded by Alexander the Great, it’s now a seaside retreat with ancient sites like the Temple of Athena. Make your way to the acropolis and you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views over the Gulf of Edremit.
