Packing Tips

Attire & Packing Guide

Plan with confidence—from what to wear and what to pack to prohibited items and onboard laundry—so you’re fully prepared for your time on board.

In keeping with our friendly yet sophisticated onboard environment, we encourage guests to follow a “resort casual” dress code.

Out of respect for others, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps, bathing suits, shorts, and torn/distressed jeans are not allowed in the dining room or specialty restaurants. When dining at Windows Café, guests must wear footwear and a cover-up or shirt.

Formal evening wear is not expected nor required in our restaurants. If you prefer to dress more formally, you are welcome to do so. Please note that tuxedo rentals are not available onboard.

Recommended Attire

For everyone:

  • Pack a sweater and a lightweight windbreaker for cooler mornings and evenings.
  • Don’t forget your workout clothes! Bring a pair of sneakers or rubber-soled shoes for deck sports as well as a swimsuit and a cover-up.
  • You may want to pack more conservative day/port wear for onshore excursions. This clothing should be culturally appropriate for museums, restaurants, and religious sites.
  • Light fabrics such as linen, cotton, silk, and wool gabardine are best.
  • Remember to pack an all-white outfit for our White Night event!

For women:

  • Casual dresses, skirts, pants and capris, blouses and knit tops.

For men:

  • Collared golf and polo shirts, shorts, pants, and a sports coat if desired.

At Discoveries, Aqualina, and Prime C Restaurants:

  • Not permitted: bare feet, ball caps, tank tops, or bathing suits.
  • Not permitted during dinner: shorts and torn/distressed jeans.

Packing Tips

Luggage: Each passenger can bring a reasonable amount of personal property and luggage onboard. For your comfort and convenience, we recommend limiting larger luggage to one or two pieces. Be sure to check with your airline about baggage allowances and weight and size restrictions, as extra fees may apply.

Overnight Bag: Please bring a small overnight bag for your last night at sea. Since staff will collect your luggage the night before disembarkation, you’ll need this bag for night clothes and toiletries.

Luggage Tags: Ensure all your bags, including carry-ons, are identified with your Azamara Cruises luggage tags. These should be filled out and affixed to each piece before you leave home.

Insurance: Insure all luggage and valuables. Azamara cannot be responsible for their loss or damage. Baggage protection, as well as a variety of other coverages designed to protect you during your cruise vacation, are offered through Azamara Trip Protection by Allianz.

Documents: Check to see that your tickets, boarding card, and other documents are in order, and pack them in a bag that you carry with you.

Laundry and Dry Cleaning

  • Azamara ships include a self-service laundry room, free of charge and open to all guests. Detergent is provided. Full laundry and dry-cleaning services are also available for a charge.
