Venture Through Asia
Immerse yourself in the delights of Asia in the springtime on this 17-night voyage. Embark in exciting Tokyo, and witness the frenetic energy of Shibuya Crossing or sample the freshest sushi imaginable at Tsukiji Market. After an enjoyable day at sea, arrive in bustling Osaka, where with a late night visit you can visit the ornate Osaka Castle and feast on local street food like okonomiyaki (savory cabbage-filled pancakes) and takoyaki (fried balls of dough made with octopus). No trip to Kochi is complete without a stop at Kochi Castle, one of the few original castles left in the country.
An overnight stay in Kagoshima gives you a glimpse into “old Japan”, with a street home to perfectly preserved Samurai houses. In the distance you’ll find the active volcano Sakurajima, which provides the surrounding area with plenty of geothermal pools to relax in.
Depart from Japan and spend another relaxing day at sea before arriving in Taipei where a late night departure gives you plenty of time to soak up the sights, sounds, and flavors of the city. Partake in the ship’s numerous onboard activities on a day at sea before an overnight stay in Hong Kong. Take the tram up to Victoria Peak for views that will take your breath away. People watch as you travel along the Mid-Level escalators, or take the Star Ferry across the harbor and shop Kowloon’s bustling night markets.
Another sea day will make sure you’re well rested, and set to enjoy the splendors of Da Nang Vietnam and travel to Hue. Set on the Perfume River, Hue is a sprawling imperial city packed with temples, museums, and galleries. Enjoy a day sailing the South China Sea before an overnight visit in Ho Chi Minh City, a port that’s full of busy marketplaces and delicious food vendors (Bahn Mi and Vietnamese Coffee are must-trys). Visit the Reunification Palace or the Cu Chi Tunnels on the Mekong Delta. Use your last day at sea to experience any of the Azamara Quest’s amenities you may have missed, before debarking in Singapore. Often nicknamed Little Red Dot due to its small size, Singapore is big on flavor, and home to sprawling Hawker Stalls, filled with delicious cuisine, each stall usually specializes in one or two dishes.
