Explore the Many Wonders of New Zealand

Departing from Auckland, we begin with an overnight sail to the Bay of Islands, a stunning region that is home to the Māori indigenous people. Enjoy two relaxing days at sea, with a half-day visit to Australia’s Norfolk Islands in between. During a late-stay in New Plymouth, embark on your choice of outdoor adventures before another day at sea.

Then, it’s on to some of New Zealand’s most captivating destinations: the capital city of Wellington; the wine capital of Picton; Akaroa, a slice of France in the heart of the Pacific; Dunedin, the “Edinburgh of the South”; the wildlife haven of Kaikoura; Napier, the Art Deco capital of New Zealand; and Tauranga, where historic Māori sites, golden beaches, and thermal pools await. Your New Zealand intensive journey ends right where we started, back in Auckland.

Cruise Highlights

  • In the Bay of Islands, visit the historic site of Waitangi, try your hand at sea kayaking or fishing, or go on an archaeological walk on Urupukapuka Island.
  • Discover New Plymouth’s nationally acclaimed garden and protected Sugar Loaf Islands.
  • Explore the Scottish-influenced Victorian and Edwardian structures of Dunedin.
  • Get a little wild in Akaroa and see penguins and dolphins during a nature cruise.
  • In Wellington, browse the shops of Lambton Quay and ride the iconic Kelburn cable car.
  • Taste your way through the legendary wines of the Marlborough region in Picton.
  • Visit the Pikirangi Māori Village and relax in the thermal pools of Tauranga.
