Amazing Med Immersion

From Athens and around Greece, Cyprus, and Italy: This 15-night voyage aboard Azamara Pursuit® takes you to some of the Med’s very best.

We start in the place of myths and legends, Athens. Then, it’s on to Mykonos with its beautiful blue harbor and quaint seaside restaurants. With a late stay in port, you’ll get to experience that magical Mykonos nightlife. On the tiny island of Patmos, walk in the footsteps of John the Apostle and visit sites revered in the Christian faith, then cruise on to a late stay in Rhodes, one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval cities, where you’ll be charmed by cobblestone streets and turreted buildings.

Next, get up close and personal with flora and fauna at the lush Plaka Forest or relax on one of the stunning white-sand beaches on the island of Kos. After a day sailing aboard your boutique hotel at sea, it’s on to an overnight in Limassol, Cyprus. Stroll narrow streets lined with shops, bars, and tavernas, and visit museums and historic sites like Kolossi Castle—a former Crusader stronghold. Your next late stay is Agios Nikolaos on the island of Crete. This quaint coastal town has everything from world-class dining and shopping, to stunning beaches and panoramic views.

Historic Heraklion is next. Discover the many treasures at the Archaeological Museum, regarded as one of the most important museums in Greece. After another day at sea, it’s on to Sicily and the Italian portion of this immersive voyage. A late stay is on the agenda in Siracusa, offering ample time to immerse yourself in Sicilian cuisine with a cooking class. Elegant and modern, Catania is the perfect basecamp for exploring Europe’s most active volcano—Mount Etna.

From its rich, historical past to its modern-day reputation as a gastronomic hotspot, Naples, the “City of Sun,” shines on another overnight stay. And just off the coast, Capri is marked by secluded beaches and hidden caves—a destination best discovered by boat. Finally, there’s no better place to conclude your enchanting Italian adventure than in Rome
