Spend a delightful day bathed in the French history and natural beauty of Les Saintes. Begin with a visit to the Napoleon Fort on Terre-de-Haut Island. Set more than 300 feet above glistening Les Saintes Bay, this rustic stronghold has been transformed into a museum and gardens documenting the island’s history and role during the French Revolution. Stroll through the exotic cactus and botanical gardens. Learn of the fort’s destruction by British forces in 1809 and of its eventual rebuilding from 1844 to 1867. Enjoy sweeping panoramas of the archipelago as it stretches out to the horizon. Afterwards, spend some time exploring the local shops of a nearby village where you’re sure to find a unique memento of your day in Les Saintes.
Explore Fort Napoleon, now a museum chronicling the island’s history during the French Revolution.
Stroll amid the fort’s tropical gardens and enjoy spectacular Caribbean panoramas.
Enjoy the fresh flavors of the island with a delightful smoothie.
