Venture into the streets of Korcula on a narrated walk that provides a wonderfully close look at this Croatian treasure. You'll set off directly from the ship and enter Old Town a mere 160 yards away. Learn about the ingenious fishbone layout that allows the breeze to flow through the streets like nature's own air-conditioner. Visit the Cathedral of St. Mark, a Gothic-Renaissance masterpiece crafted in the 15th century from limestone shaped by Korcula's legendary stonemasons. Continue through narrow avenues to the Bishop's Palace, where you'll witness sketches by Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael and other greats. Stroll past the home of Marco Polo and visit the Church of All Saints on your way to Cukarin, a famed local bakery. Here, you'll have the chance to sample traditional cookies and mingle with the locals who are usually quite eager to share a few stories and laughs with new friends.
