A truly relaxing island paradise
The island of Ko Samui is a tiny tropical paradise. With shores lined with coconut trees, endless white sand beaches, and stunning turquoise blue water, we’ll understand if you have the urge to set up stakes here permanently. Parts of the island like Chaweng beach have the air of a Photoshopped beach vacation—that is, they’re just a little too pristine and perfect and lacking in authentic character. But there are still plenty of unspoiled (and uncrowded) places to kick back and relax with your toes in the sand.
Snorkel in the waters and recline in the shade of a coconut palm as the Big Buddha overlooks in Bang Rak on the northeastern tip of the island. This giant statue of a Buddha is an impressive sight to be seen. If you’ve had enough sun and sand (though we’re not entirely sure that’s possible!) head inland to the rainforest to see spectacular waterfalls at Na Muang.
And if you’re really looking for an escape, retreat to the tranquil luxury of one of the many full-service spas found in the hotels around Chaweng and Lamai beaches. Treat yourself to some well-deserved pampering for your mind, body, and soul.
