Soak in Spain

With amazing architecture, fabulous food and wines, and a vibrancy in its culture, Spain is truly spellbinding. And on this country-intensive cruise onboard Azamara Pursuit®, you’ll get to immerse yourself in the Canary Islands and Seville, plus a little Lisbon.

Your voyage begins in Gran Canaria. Go to the old city center of Vegueta to walk down the same streets as Columbus did 500 years ago, visit the Caldera de Bandama in Gran Canaria’s wine country, or head to Tejeda to see the Roque Nublo rock formation and spectacular views. In Lanzarote, its most famous feature is its otherworldly landscape, born of hundreds of fire-breathing peaks. At Timanfaya National Park, you can still feel the heat under the surface.

After a day at sea soaking some relaxation at Sanctum Spa and enjoying delicious specialty dining, we call on Seville for two sensational overnight stays. Visit the world’s largest Gothic cathedral, the ornate Alcázar complex, and Maria Luisa Park—plus, dine at delicious tapas-and-wine bars and catch a flamenco performance. Our voyage ends with an overnight stay in Lisbon, Portugal. Take a stroll through the Alfama quarter and explore Lisbon Castle, go on a day trip to Sintra, or savor a Portuguese dinner while taking in a Fado show.

Did you know? Seville is credited with the invention of tapas. Join in with the locals as they graze from bar to bar, making an entire meal out of the experience. The city also has a rich history evident in its landmarks. The Alcazar, the main palace, is exquisitely decorated in Moorish style, with themed gardens laid out in terraces. All in all an abundance of riches for all those who come to call.
