Otherworldly Landscapes & Neverending History

Our voyage begins in the captivating Canary Islands. Arrive early to take in Gran Canaria’s many landscapes and attractions — where a third of the island is under protection as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve — before we set sail for a late-night stay in La Palma. Aptly nicknamed “pretty island,” La Palma promises beautiful beaches, volcanic backdrops, and some of the world’s best stargazing. Next, spend the day on La Gomera, exploring ancient forests and over 600 kilometers of lush trails before leaving for another late stay in the otherworldly landscapes of Arrecife.

After a relaxing day at sea, the Mediterranean gateway of Gibraltar welcomes you with the iconic limestone “Rock of Gibraltar” rising out of the sea. This south coast jewel is also home to the only wild and curiously tailless monkey population in all of Europe. Next, we land in Seville. An overnight stay gives you plenty of time to visit the ornate Alcázar complex or catch a Flamenco performance. In Cádiz, enjoy a panoramic drive past iconic landmarks and journey to Jerez de la Frontera where you'll visit a local cellar and sample the local sherry.

Your journey ends with an overnight stay in Lisbon, Portugal. Take a short walk through the medieval quarter, Alfama — feel the atmosphere of this “old” historical town, crowned by the magnificent St. George’s Castle. Or, venture beyond Lisbon to the colorful cosmopolitan Cascais or the romantic, old world village of Sintra.
