Explore Ushuaia's rich maritime history and landmarks on this hike through the End of the World. Ushuaia is located at the foot of the Andes and is bordered by the Beagle Channel. This southernmost Patagonian city harbors a rich maritime history. Ferdinand Magellan was the first European to find Tierra del Fuego; other characters, including Francis Drake, followed his footsteps. As you stroll through the city, learn about the native Yamana people and the early Anglican settlements. Pass Centenary Square and the Government House. Visit the End of the World Prison Museum and learn about Ushuaia's maritime history. See Saint Christopher Tugboat and its shipwreck, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Ushuaia's old churches, the port, and the mountains in the background.
