Discover the sights of Gran Canaria, an island known for its beautiful scenery and fantastic weather. Your adventure begins when you leave the port of Las Palmas, journeying to the island's southern coast. Stop at the Maspalomas Nature Reserve, home to Gran Canaria's most pristine beach, and perfect for a photo opp amongst the picturesque sand dunes. Next, see the stunning landscapes of the Tejeda region, whose unusual rock formations are commonly described as "a petrified storm." We'll stop at Bentayga and Roque Nublo, huge monoliths over 70 meters tall and formed by age-old volcanic activity. Next up is a tasty lunch of Canarian specialties in a hotel with amazing landscapes. Then it's on to Teror, the "village in the air," which sits on a plateau 575 meters above sea level. Enjoy the colonial-style buildings and outside views of the basilica dedicated to Virgen del Pino, or "virgin of the pine." Afterwards, continue to the city of Arucas, a district with plentiful architectural and city sights. Make sure to explore the city center, declared a site of historic interest, before returning to the ship.
