Explore the British Isles With PerryGolf™
Home to some of the most iconic sites in all of Europe—the villages and towns of the British Isles are steeped in rich history mixed with contemporary delight, making it the ideal destination for a 12- night voyage. Better yet for those who would like to play golf where the game was invented, our acclaimed partner PerryGolf will offer a 7-course golf package highlighted by play at three Open venues: Scotland’s Carnoustie, Ireland’s Royal Portrush and England’s Royal Birkdale. A special “Golf-Lite” program is also available that includes 4 rounds.
We start our journey with an overnight stay in Edinburgh, the inspiring capital of Scotland, and a historic, cultured city. Edinburgh Castle dominates the city-center and from its ramparts you can look down on medieval lanes that hold over a thousand years of history, mystery and tradition. With an overnight stay, you’ll enjoy more time to explore this modern, dynamic capital city where galleries display cutting-edge art, and bars, restaurants and clubs create a lively, cosmopolitan atmosphere with a distinctly Scottish twist.
Next, it’s on to Dundee, where two nights in port gives PerryGolf the opportunity to treat our golf passengers to St Andrews—one of the most charming towns imaginable and home to the fabled Old Course—along with plenty of time to explore the vibrant art, design, music and theatre scene in Dundee. Then it’s on to Invergordon, an incredible destination that houses some of the world’s most famous whiskey distilleries.
Rest and recharge with a relaxing day at sea before making your way to Belfast. With a late-night stay here, prepare to experience a museum unlike any other at Titanic Belfast. As you explore Northern Ireland’s capital, dotted with Victorian and Edwardian buildings, watch for “the murals,” a series of intriguing freelance works that give insight into the period known simply as “The Troubles.”
Next on the itinerary is Glasgow, where history buffs will be wowed by Victorian architecture and Scotch aficionados can sample a wee dram of Highland Scotch during a tour of the famed Glenmorangie distillery.
Take a trip back in time when you arrive in Douglas on the Isle of Man. Here you can see authentic thatched cottages and even horse-drawn trams, something the locals have been doing since 1876. Next, it’s on to Dublin, where you can visit elegant galleries and shops, historical sights and pubs, and learn the history of Ireland’s most popular stout at the Guinness Storehouse.
When in Liverpool, explore its city center on foot, or visit one of its many museums and galleries. Spend a day at sea aboard your boutique hotel before concluding your journey in Southampton.
