Venture into the hills of Luberon to experience two quintessentially French villages. Your first stop is Lourmarin, a charmer surrounded by olive groves, almond trees and rolling vineyards. Enjoy a narrated stroll through streets lined with Mediterranean facades and marvel at the 15th-century castle which dominates the village. Enjoy some free time to explore the local boutiques and terraced cafés before setting out to your second stop. Situated in the heart of one of the biggest ochre deposits in the world, Roussillon is famous for its magnificent red cliffs and ochre quarries. The red, yellow and brown shades of the earth form a striking contrast with the lush green pine trees. It is like an artist's pallet, with the infinite combinations of colors varying from yellow to purple with all the shades of pink and red in-between. Your last stop will be at the Musée de la Lavande or Lavender Museum where you'll learn about the different varieties of lavender and taste locals a local specialty and a drink that have been prepared with this deliciously fragrant plant. You'll also have the opportunity to make your very own lavender bag to bring home.
