Guests must be able to walk approximately 3 miles over uneven and cobblestone surfaces, with inclines and approximately 300 steps and extended periods of standing.Due to new traffic regulations in Rome, large buses have limited access to the city center, and some additional walking will be required to access the main venues.Should the designed bus drop-off/pick-up point for St. Peter's Basilica be congested or unavailable, an alternative will be used. Please note an additional walk of 0.6 miles from/to the alternative location should be considered.This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or in wheelchairs.
Guests needing special assistance must be accompanied by an able-bodied companion. Inside Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica there is an itinerary dedicated to visitors on a wheelchair. Should your guide determine that the line at St. Peter's Basilica security check point is longer than 45 minutes, they will forego the interior visit and provide you with a full explanation from outside.
On Sundays, tour visits the Roman Catacombs because Vatican Museum/Sistine Chapel is closed.Most shops are closed on Sundays and public holidays.
