Discover the magnificent archeologic site of Nuraghe Palmavera. This exceptional settlement is dotted with large stone structures, called nuraghe, from a civilization that lived here from about 1300-1200 B.C. A walking tour of the ruins reveals their incredible architecture. The nuraghe are megalithic or made of large, interlocking stones without mortar and include a main tower with a tholos or beehive tomb, a meeting space, an altar and several others. In fact, archeologists suspect at least 10,000 structures were once here, although the culture of their inhabitants is lost to time. After this stunning tour, pause at Capo Caccia Belvedere to snap photos of cliffside panoramas before returning to the ship.
Walk the archeological site of Nuraghe Palmavera to see megaliths, including a large tower.
