It isn't known how long the Namib Desert feral horses have resided in the region, but legend has it that the horses are descendants of the German Schutztruppe. The Schutztruppe were the German colonial forces in Africa in the late 19th century. You'll journey to the Garub Waterhole where conservationists have set up a hide.
