Experience the volcanic Greek island of Milos on this panoramic drive and walking tour of its picturesque landscape and ancient ruins. Embark on a scenic drive to Papafragas, a cluster of deep-sea inlets and sea caves at the base of a pristine ravine. Then make your way to Sarakiniko Beach to witness its scenery of pure-white stone sculpted by volcanic eruptions, often compared to a moonscape. Briefly stop for treats at a local bakery overlooking the Bay of Milos, followed by a visit to the village of Trypiti to see the ruins of ancient Melos and the Roman Amphitheatre. On your way back to the bus, stroll past the site where one of the most famous works of ancient Greek sculpture, Venus de Milo, was discovered in 1820. Finally, visit the village of Plaka and walk the cobblestone streets interspersed with the traditional blue-and-white houses, prevalent to the Cycladic islands.
