The Best Way to Experience the Black Sea
For the well-traveled, few cruises hold the same intrigue and allure as a voyage around the enigmatic Black Sea. With ports most ships don’t visit and immersive onshore experiences, there’s no better way to experience the Black Sea than with Azamara.
We start in Athens, then it’s on to Mykonos with its whiter-than-white houses with brilliant blue shutters, vibrant bougainvillea, and a beautiful blue harbor drenched in warm sunlight. Ephesus was once one of the Roman Empire’s largest cities, and a late stay provides ample time to explore the Library of Celsus, the Odeon, and the marble Arcadian Street.
Then it’s a day of scenic cruising, as we sail through the Bosphorus Strait to
Burgas—a beautiful hidden gem in Bulgaria where a stroll through the gorgeous Sea Gardens is a must. Next, it’s on to the resort town of Varna. Discover Romanian folklore and great wines in Constanta, and visit the famous Opera and Ballet Theater and Potemkin Stairs on an overnight in Odessa.
After another day at sea we arrive at Istanbul for another overnight. Let the city take you on a journey of discovery, starting with the iconic Hagia Sofia, then see where the pulse of the city leads you next. The next day, arrive in Kepez, the gateway to Canakkale, Troy, and Gallipoli before arriving back in Athens where our immersive Land Programs await when your voyage concludes.
