This half-day tour highlights the best of Ishigaki Island, beginning with the Minsa Art & Craft Center, where you'll learn all about Okinawa's local textile, Minsa. Shop here for bags and tapestries, and browse in the small museum, which displays traditional textile products. From here, it's off to the Kabira Bay Observatory, located on the northwest coast of the island, and one of Ishigaki's most beautiful sites. The Bay is also famous for its rare black pearls and its small Shochu brewery that is unique for using brown sugar as its main ingredient. Your final stop is the Ishigaki Pottery Studio & Gallery. Ishigaki pottery is distinctive for its combination of glasswork with ceramics.
