Follow a local guide on a culturally enlightening and naturally awe-inspiring journey through Sitka. Begin with some free time in Sitka National Historical Park, where you’ll connect with Alaska’s native Tlingit culture. Stroll pathways lined with traditional totems and surrounded by towering spruce and hemlock trees. Afterwards, head to Centennial Hall, in downtown Sitka. Enjoy a rollicking performance by the New Archangel Dancers, a local troupe that’s been preserving Russian folk music and traditional dance for nearly 50 years. After the show, a short drive will take you to the Alaskan Raptor Center, a rehabilitation facility for injured birds of prey. Enjoy a close look at Bald Eagles before continuing to your final stop – St. Michael’s Cathedral.
