This unforgettable journey through the Mediterranean begins with an overnight stay in Venice, perhaps the most romantic city on Earth. Enjoy a gondola ride through the canals before dining at Ristorante Quadri or Antiche Carampane — one of the oldest restaurants in the city. There’s plenty of time to stroll Palazzo Ducale and check out the stunning architecture of Scuola Grande di San Rocco.
From here, we say arrivederci to Italy and zdravo with a late-night stay in Zadar, Croatia. Here, immerse yourself in the nearby Krka and Paklenica National Parks, which contain stunning natural wonders like cascades, waterfalls, canyons, lakes, and rare flora and fauna, not to mention an extremely wide variety of bird and animal species.
A late-night stay in another Croatian gem, Dubrovnik is next. Nothing short of awe-inspiring, Dubrovnik is surrounded by ancient walls that protect an old town full of winding limestone streets and brilliantly baroque buildings.
After a relaxing day aboard your boutique hotel at sea, you’ll arrive in Argostoli, Greece, a lively town sprinkled with trendy boutiques, chic cafe’s friendly locals. Strolling the pedestrian-friendly streets, you’re sure to hear the sweet sounds of Greek kantades performed by talented musicians. While you’re here, don’t miss Drogarati Cave — home to the captivating underground Melissani Lake.
From Argostoli, it’s then off to Chania on the Greek island of Crete. This spellbinding town is awash in Turkish and Venetian architecture — waiting for you to take it all in from its quaint narrow laneways. Take a stroll along the beautiful harbor, or make your way to the city centre, where you can indulge in a little retail therapy at many charming independent boutiques.
A late-night stay in sun-kissed Santorini, Greece, is next. Sailing into port, it’s hard to not be captivated by Santorini’s towering cliffs that plunge into the shimmering turquoise waters. Santorini’s beaches make it an ideal destination for sun worshippers, while its diverse walking paths are a dream for hikers.
The late-night stays continue when we arrive in Kuşadası, Turkey and the historical city of Ephesus. This fascinating excavated city has been unearthed to provide visitors with an incredible first-hand look at life in the Greco-Roman world. While you’re here, make a point of visiting the Temple of Hadrian and Library of Celsus — once one of the most impressive buildings in all the Roman Empire.
A quick stop in Ҫeşme, Turkey will give you just enough time to visit the 16th century Ҫeşme Castle. Dominating the city center, it offers wonderful views of Ҫeşme and the surrounding area, the Greek neo-classical buildings of the Old City, and the restaurants and shops of Ҫeşme Marina.
Our journey through the jewels of the Mediterranean concludes with an overnight stay in İstanbul, Turkey. A truly alluring city, İtanbul melds together the Eastern and Western worlds, creating a unique atmosphere unlike any other on Earth.
