Explore one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Northern Europe. Begin this Old Town adventure with a stroll to Palace Square and a visit a part of the Toompea Castle. Today, the fortress is home to the Riigikogu, otherwise known as the Estonian Parliament. However, the castle’s roots date back to the 13th century. Enter to explore its long corridors and grand
apartments, including the Parliamentary Chamber, which rises through three full floors.
Continue with a visit to the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, one of the most dominant landmarks of Old Town, its interior graced with stunning golden icons and spectacular mosaics. From here, follow the cobbled streets to visit inside the domed St. Mary’s Cathedral, then onwards past St. Nicholas Church and into Lower Old Town. Make way to Town Hall Square for exterior views of the gothic Town Hall and free time to browse local shops or explore on your own.
