Discover the natural beauty and extraordinary history of the Channel Islands on a sightseeing drive across Guernsey. Journey along the coast, where jagged cliffs fall away into stretches of wild beach with the rolling sea beyond. Visit the Little Chapel, a diminutive masterpiece created by Brother Deodat, whose intention was to construct a simple place of prayer and worship. Its multiple surfaces mosaicked with pebbles, shells and broken pieces of pottery create a unique and wonderfully ornate religious symbol. Drive to the south coast where the German observation tower at Pleinmont Point can be viewed along with sensational views of the island. Continue along the shoreline as it veers west to reveal the island’s broad, sandy bays. Conclude with a drive through the parish of Vale, dotted with coastal fortifications built by German forces during WWII.
Marvel at the sheer cliffs and untouched stretches of sand that make up the Guernsey coast.
Visit the island’s tiniest legend, the Little Chapel, built single-handedly by Brother Deodat in 1914.
Enjoy sweeping views of a five-story observation tower, used as a lookout by Germans in WWII.
