This year, we were thrilled to host Nastasia Wong, from the women's travel blog Dame Traveler, onboard the Azamara Quest. Nastasia joined us for the Asian Cities and Waters Voyage, calling on ports like Osaka, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
Nastasia shared photos of her adventures on her own Instagram account and did a special takeover of Azamara's own Instagram. Nastasia brings a keen eye for nature, culture, and architectural beauty to her photography. Here are some of our favorite images from her voyage.
Osaka, Kyoto, and Hiroshima
"Oh Japan, it truly stole my heart," Nastasia says. "Even the sewer caps are pretty in Japan."
One of the highlights of Nastasia's time in Japan was visiting the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest in Kyoto. You can see why the photogenic grove is one of the top sights in Kyoto. Nastasia's tip for getting a good photo is to avoid crowds by arriving as early as possible.
Japan is famous for its incredible food, and Nastasia particularly enjoyed what Hiroshima had to offer - especially oysters and green tea ice cream.
Hong Kong
The Azamara Quest had an overnight stay in Hong Kong, which gave Nastasia plenty of time to visit Victoria's Peak for a photo op, browse markets, reflect in temples, and enjoy the city skyline at night.
Nastasia says what she enjoyed most about cruising with Azamara were the overnight stays and late-night departures. "This is especially great for cities in Asia because the night markets are so incredible!"
Singapore
Singapore was the final stop on Nastasia's voyage.
The famous Gardens By The Bay are gorgeous from above and from ground level. Nastasia says the gardens are "one of the most beautiful green spaces I've ever seen."
Nastasia also visited Singapore's Chinatown and the infinity pool at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel.
Did the Destination Immersion approach to cruise travel turn Nastasia into an Azamara fan? Hear from the Dame Traveler herself! "Life at sea has changed for the better," she says. You can read all about her experience here.
